I had been looking forward to Wes & Amelia's wedding ever since our initial meeting last year. I instantly saw how much fun they were and I knew their big day would match their upbeat personalities. They were married at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, which is actually right across the street from my childhood home. It was great to be back in the neighborhood and we had some great weather for outdoor photos! I'm all about having unique settings for the wedding, and I was very excited for Wes & Amelia's reception, because it was held at the Cultural Arts Center. This was such a different venue from what I had been used to shooting in the past and it was a great experience. This was also my first time having wedding portraits done in front of the skyline. Although their party bus broke down and they showed up to their reception fashionably late, in an Uber, it was an incredible day and I was so happy to be a part of it!

I first met Brad and Courtney during their engagement session this past fall. I instantly saw how in love these two were and discovered they were, by no means, afraid to show it. I was so impressed by how relaxed they were in front of the camera and I could tell they were just enjoying the moment.

I saw this same comfort on their wedding day. Even though they decided against a first look, they still wanted to share a moment together before the ceremony. Brad handed Courtney a letter to read when they first touched hands. Beforehand, Brad had his groomsmen deliver a rose to Courtney every hour of the wedding day leading up to this time. Courtney read the letter, teary-eyed, and with a big smile on her face . This moment showed how happy these two were together and I knew right then that they were perfect for each other. I was so honored to be a part of their big day and to capture these special memories for them. I can't wait to share them with you!
