After a little rain scare we ended up having an absolutely perfect evening at Inniswoods Metro Gardens. This is one of my favorite Columbus locations for engagement sessions and I was so happy to spend an evening with Kristen & Tony there last week. Kristen and I went to High School together and it is always so much fun to reconnect with old friends for photoshoots. I think it’s so much fun to work with people I already know and it’s always such an honor to capture these moments for them! I am so excited to celebrate with them next year on their big day at Crimson Lane!
Cassie & Corry Engagement Session at Alms Park
We finally had an evening without the high temps and humidity here in Cincinnati and we definitely took advantage of that! I strolled around Alms Park with Cassie & Corry for their engagement session and had the chance to share the evening with their two pups as well! Fun fact: They have a dog named Joey after Joey Votto and one of my cats is also named Joey after Joey Votto. So funny! These two have known each other since they were younger and then started dating after they reconnected after college. They were engaged right after Christmas and love exploring the city and learning about the rich history Cincinnati has to offer. I can’t wait until their May wedding next year and to celebrate with them at Lake Lyndsay!
Katie & Tanner Couples Session
Like many COVID couples, Katie & Tanner made the hard decision to postpone their wedding date. They decided they still wanted to celebrate their original date by getting dressed up, taking some photos, and enjoying a fancy brunch afterwards. I was so excited when they reached out to me, because I LOVED this idea. This is such a challenging time for engaged couples and I am so glad everyone if finding fun and unique ways to make the best of the situation and to still celebrate their love. I am so excited to share some of my favorites from their session, because it was GORGEOUS!
Lisa & Jacob Engagement Session
So I’ve already mentioned before that the Columbus Park of Roses is one of my favorite engagement session locations, but I have never seen the park in full bloom like it was for this session. Even though we had a hot evening, we were able to get some absolutely gorgeous shots last week! I had such a great time with Jacob & Lisa, they seriously are the sweetest couple, and I can’t wait for their wedding later this month!
Megan & Dominic Engagement
One of my favorite things about my job is reconnecting with familiar faces. I played volleyball against Megan back in High School in Columbus and then again in College and now I am photographing her wedding next year! I truly love already having a connection with my couples and it makes my job so much fun. Although our engagement session started with some rain, we waited it out for a few minutes and I am so glad we did. The passing storm created a dramatic sky and helped create some beautiful photos. I am so excited to share a few of my favorites from our session below and can’t wait to celebrate with these two next year!
Taylor & AJ Engagement Session
Taylor and AJ wanted to have their engagement photos taken on their family’s lavender farm. Although the lavender bushes were not in full bloom yet, it was such a stunning property with many open fields and pine trees to choose from! It was so much fun running through the tall grass with them and finally meeting before their October wedding! These two are the sweetest and so much fun, I can’t wait to celebrate with them this fall!
