After a little rain scare we ended up having an absolutely perfect evening at Inniswoods Metro Gardens. This is one of my favorite Columbus locations for engagement sessions and I was so happy to spend an evening with Kristen & Tony there last week. Kristen and I went to High School together and it is always so much fun to reconnect with old friends for photoshoots. I think it’s so much fun to work with people I already know and it’s always such an honor to capture these moments for them! I am so excited to celebrate with them next year on their big day at Crimson Lane!
Lisa & Jacob Wedding at Crimson Lane
My team had an amazing time celebrating with Lisa & Jacob at their gorgeous wedding. These two are so stinking cute and I can’t get enough of their contagious smiles. All of the details from the stunning lace in the dress to the amazing pops of blush and greenery, went along so perfectly with the beautiful day they had. Crimson Lane is one of my favorite Ohio wedding venues and it always has breathtaking views and gorgeous sunsets! I am so excited to share some of my favorites from this day, and especially show everyone how amazing these two look out in the sunflower field! My amazing associate Jen captured this day perfectly!
Ali & Audrey Wedding
I am so proud of all of the 2020 couples who are making the best of the current situation. These two had big plans of celebrating their marriage in Marco Island Florida and had friends and family traveling internationally to be there with them in December. Due to the current pandemic, they made the difficult decision to cancel their Marco Island plans and to have an intimate ceremony and small reception here in Cincinnati. They were able to celebrate with local friends and family while others were able to be there with them virtually. I was so happy to capture these special moments for Ali & Audrey and I loved what they made of out their wedding day! Below are some of my favorites that I am so excited to share with them!
Reception Venue: Top of the Park at the Phelps
Dress: Blush Bridal
Styling surface: Elysian Market
Columbus Branding Micro Sessions
I have been loving branding sessions so much recently and have been really trying include these more in my business. I hosted Branding Micro sessions in Columbus last week and had SO MUCH FUN! I stopped at two of my favorite and insta worthy locations in Columbus, Fox in the Snow Cafe and Jeni’s Splendid Ice cream. I thought these locations would be perfect for the vision I had for these branding sessions. We were able to support local businesses, always love that, and to take some fun updated headshots! I think these really help show your personality to your clients and can help them get to know you better! These micro sessions are perfect for getting some updated social media content and I plan on hosting another round of these here in Cincinnati soon!
Crystal & Matt Wedding at Lake Lyndsay
It feels so great to finally be back in the flow of wedding season! I was so excited to go through these images from Crystal and Matt’s wedding, because it was such a beautiful day. Although a little toasty outside, the sunset was gorgeous and these two had an amazing time celebrating with their family and friends. I know how important the sunset photos were to Crystal so I was pumped to see a brides matching excitement for some of my favorite kind of wedding day photos! If you have the opportunity to do sunset photos with your photographer, I highly suggest it! You just can’t beat that golden hour glow. I’m so happy for these two and can’t wait to share these photos with them! This wedding was photographed by amazing associate Jen.
Cassie & Corry Engagement Session at Alms Park
We finally had an evening without the high temps and humidity here in Cincinnati and we definitely took advantage of that! I strolled around Alms Park with Cassie & Corry for their engagement session and had the chance to share the evening with their two pups as well! Fun fact: They have a dog named Joey after Joey Votto and one of my cats is also named Joey after Joey Votto. So funny! These two have known each other since they were younger and then started dating after they reconnected after college. They were engaged right after Christmas and love exploring the city and learning about the rich history Cincinnati has to offer. I can’t wait until their May wedding next year and to celebrate with them at Lake Lyndsay!
